President Prabowo Holds Plenary Cabinet Meeting to Review Government Programs

President Prabowo on Monday (07/20) delivered directives during a Plenary Cabinet Meeting held at the State Palace, Jakarta. The meeting, held in the middle of 2026, marked a momentum for evaluating the implementation and achievements of the Government’s programs towards the second year of administration.

“Today, I deliberately invited you all to the Plenary Cabinet Meeting in the middle of 2026, approaching August 17, 2026; it is a tradition that the President of the Republic of Indonesia delivers a state address a few days prior to August 17, to present all the [Government’s] works over a year to all Indonesians,” the President remarked.

“It is less than three months towards the second year of our works under the people’s mandate. Time flies quickly. Surely, we hold this Plenary Cabinet Meeting to evaluate what we have worked on,” he continued.

For almost two years of administration, President Prabowo argued that the Government has worked hard and promptly to respond to various challenges both nationally and globally. According to him, much progress has been achieved and many problems have been solved.

“Sometimes, when we work so hard, so intensely, we do not realize how much has been achieved for the first two years,” he stated.

The Government has faced various challenges amid global situation that full of uncertainties, and this has become a shared challenge. The Head of State urged all government officials to receive the people’s mandate to face and solve those problems.

“As children of the nation, as leaders, we are all here as leaders. We are leaders of parties, leaders of technocracies, leaders of cultures, leaders of communities, and we get a mandate from the people to face and solve problems. So, we shall not be afraid of problems, difficulties, and weaknesses,” he added.

The President also stated that the Government has noted multiple basic problems faced by the people. Therefore, he showed belief that the people’s mandate for government officials is to tackle problems and offer solutions.

President Prabowo urged all Cabinet members to work hard, be disciplined, and focus on concrete solutions to benefit the people of Indonesia. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RD/MMB)
