President Prabowo Inaugurates Executive Committee for Papua Special Autonomy Acceleration

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Chair and Members of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy Development in Papua at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/08).
This inauguration is the Government’s strategic decision to accelerate fair, equitable, and sustainable development in Papua.
The committee appointment is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 110/P of 2025 on the Appointment of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy Development in Papua. The appointees are as follows:
- Velix Vernando Wanggai, as Chair
- John Wempi Wetipo, as Member
- Ignatius Yogo Triyono, as Member
- Paulus Waterpauw, as Member
- Ribka Haluk, as Member
- Ali Hamdan Bogra, as Member
- Gracia Josaphat Jobel Mambrasar, as Member
- Yanni, as Member
- John Gluba Gebze, as Member
- Juharson Estrella Sihasale, as Member
Following the reading of the Presidential Decree, the President administered the oath of office to the newly appointed officials.
“That I will faithfully uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will enforce all laws and regulations to the best of my ability, in the service of my nation and country,” said the President as he administered the oath of office.
The inauguration ceremony continued with the signing of the minutes by representatives of the appointed officials. The event concluded with congratulatory remarks, beginning with the President, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, and other invitees. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/LW)
