President Prabowo Inaugurates Indonesian Ambassador to Oman, Ready to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Protect Indonesians

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) to the Sultanate of Oman, concurrently to the Republic of Yemen Andi Rahadian, expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fulfilling the state’s mandate.

This was conveyed following his inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta on Friday (04/10).

Alhamdulillah, today I have been inaugurated by President Prabowo, and I will be assigned as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sultanate of Oman, concurrently to the Republic of Yemen,” said Andi in his remarks to the media after the inauguration.

He emphasized that he will carry out his duties in accordance with the President’s directives, particularly in enhancing bilateral relations between Indonesia, Oman, and Yemen across various strategic sectors.

“I will execute the tasks assigned by the President to improve bilateral relations across politics, economy, social and cultural affairs, as well as protocol and consular matters,” he explained.

In addition to strengthening relations of the two countries, Ambassador Andi Rahadian highlighted the importance of protecting Indonesian citizens as a key priority of Indonesia’s diplomacy in the region.

Addressing the evolving geopolitical dynamics, including tensions in the Middle East, Andi affirmed his readiness to implement all central government directives optimally.

“We will certainly carry them out to the best of our ability in line with directives from the Central Government,” he said.

He further explained that all tasks, whether in economics, social and cultural fields, or protection of Indonesian citizens, will be executed in an integrated manner and in accordance with government policies. Ambassador Andi Rahadian also ask support and prayers to fulfill his mandate effectively.

“We ask for your prayers, so that we may carry out tasks from the President to the best of our ability for the sake of our nation, people, and country,” he remarked. (BPMI) (EST/LW)
