The inauguration marked the improvements in brain health services in Indonesia, focusing not only on medical services but also on education and research.

In his remarks, President Prabowo underscored that the hospital plays a strategic role in producing neurologists and serving as a leading research center.

“This hospital serves not only as a service provider but also as an education and research center for medical specialists in neurology and brain sciences,” he said, adding that he was impressed with Mahar Mardjono Hospital’s facility development and medical professional quality that he saw during his visit.

“I have looked around and I saw that the hospital, in terms of facility, equipment, and specialists, is just as good as the best hospitals abroad,” he said.

The integrated service building increased the service capacity with the addition of 254 beds, operating rooms, laboratories, and MRI examination facilities with cutting-edge technology. This building will also be equipped with more extensive facilities for neurorestoration examinations.

President Prabowo expressed appreciation to the hospital for those improvements and its mastery of advanced technology in neuroscience, from brain tumor surgeries to treatments for degenerative diseases.

“Today, I am very proud that this advanced hospital is already able to perform brain tumor surgeries and treat Alzheimer, Parkinson, and stroke, and provide treatments for stroke with the best equipment,” he said, adding that the inauguration has proven the Government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services based on research and modern technology, including the application of the best robotic and AI technology.

“Once again, thank you. This proves that we are committed to working hard,” he remarked.
