President Prabowo Inaugurates National Police Commission Members

President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (05/11) inaugurated members of the National Police Commission for the 2024-2029 term at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.

The inauguration was carried out based on Presidential Decree Number 80/M of 2024 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the National Police Commission, which was stipulated in Jakarta on November 4, 2024.

The inaugurated officials were as follows:

  1. ⁠Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan as Chairperson and member;
  2. ⁠Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian as Vice Chairperson and member;
  3. Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas as member;
  4. ⁠Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo as member;
  5. ⁠Ida Oetari Poernamasasi as member;
  6. ⁠Supardi Hamid as member;
  7. Gufron as member;
  8. ⁠Mochammad Choirul Anam as member; and
  9. ⁠Yusuf as member.

President Prabowo led the swearing-in ceremony of the new government officials.

“I do solemnly swear that I will bear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible for the service to the state and the nation. That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold professional code of conduct, work to the best of my ability, with a full sense of responsibility,” reads the oath.

In his statement after the inauguration, Budi Gunawan said that the commission would strengthen consolidation, coordination, and synergy with the National Police so that the ongoing tasks can be executed flawlessly.
