President Prabowo Inaugurates New Minister of Finance

President Prabowo Subianto, Monday (09/14), inaugurated Suahasil Nazara as the Minister of Finance at the State Palace, Jakarta. This inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 97/P of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Minister of Finance of the Red and White Cabinet for the Remainder of the 2024-2029 Term.

The inauguration commenced with the recitation of the oath of office, led by President Prabowo. The ceremony took place with great solemnity, affirming the newly appointed official’s commitment to carrying out their duties with responsibility and integrity.

“I will bear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible for the service to the state and the nation,” the President said, dictating the oath of office to the appointed official.

Following the oath-taking, the ceremony proceeded with the signing of the minutes and concluded with congratulations from President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, and the invited guests.

Also attending the inauguration were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Ministers and Heads of Agencies of the Red and White Cabinet, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto, the Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, and Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo.
