President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Taruna Nusantara High School Malang Campus on Tuesday (01/13) in East Java province. The launch marked Government’s commitment to expanding access to excellent secondary schools with a national orientation, focused on character building and national spirit.

“Bismilahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, Tuesday, January 13, 2025, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby officially launch Taruna Nusantara High School Malang Campus,” the President said.

In his remarks, he noted that the establishment of Taruna Nusantara High School several decades ago was intended to produce outstanding young generations of Indonesia. With strong academic capacity, Indonesian students are nurtured and given the best opportunities.

“Taruna Nusantara High School was established many decades ago, aiming to identify Indonesian young generations who possess strong academic potential, to be nurtured and given the possible opportunities of learning and, ultimately, become valuable nation’s future generations,” he said.

Taruna Nusantara High School Malang Campus was built since November 2023 across a 29.6-hectare site. The school comprises 30 classrooms and accommodates a total of 706 students from various regions across Indonesia.

The school implements three curricula: the national curriculum, the special Taruna Nusantara High School curriculum, and the international Cambridge curriculum. The integration of these three curricula is designed to produce graduates with a strong national outlook, global competitiveness, and exemplary character.

The event underscores President Prabowo’s policy direction that places character education as the primary foundation for developing excellent human resources toward a sovereign, advanced, and dignified Indonesia. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RD/LW)
