President Prabowo Kicks Off Working Visit to E. Java Province

President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (06/23) kicked off his one-day working visit to East Java province, particularly Madura island.
The President and his entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at around 09.00 local time.
Upon arrival in Sampang regency, President Prabowo is slated to inaugurate a 1,151 km road segment spanning the country. The road construction is part of the implementation of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads.
This inauguration demonstrates the Government’s commitment to accelerating road infrastructure development to enhance interregional connectivity, boost regional economic growth, and streamline the distribution of goods and services.
Following the agenda in Sampang, President Prabowo is set to continue his visit to Bangkalan regency, where he will attend the Closing of the 2026 National Ulema Deliberation and Grand Conference of the Nahdlatul Ulama (the largest Indonesian Islamic organization) at the Islamic Institute of Syaichona Mohammad Cholil.
This activity serves as important momentum to strengthen the roles of Islamic scholars in maintaining national unity and contributing their ideas to national development.
Joining the President during his flight to Madura island were Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/MMB)
