President Prabowo Launches Mass Signing of 62,000 Housing Loan Agreements (KPR), Housing Microcredit (KUR) Worth Rp880 Billion
President Prabowo Subianto formally launched the mass signing of 62,000 Housing Loan Agreements (KPR) and Housing Microcredit Schemes (KUR) worth Rp880 billion. The event was held in a hybrid format at the Puri Delta City Side Batang area, Batang regency, Central Java province, on Thursday (07/30).
This initiative underscored the Government’s commitment to expanding access to decent housing for low-income citizens while strengthening financing for the national housing sector.
Upon his arrival at the Puri Delta City Side Batang area, President Prabowo was enthusiastically welcomed by the local community. Following that, the Head of State toured model homes and inspected subsidized housing units that are already occupied by beneficiaries of the FLPP’s Sejahtera Mortgage.
As he approached the main venue, the President was greeted with traditional dances accompanied by a marching band, adding to the festive atmosphere. The official ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthem ‘Indonesia Raya’, followed by a prayer recitation, and a report delivered by Minister of Housing and Settlement Maruarar Sirait.
On the occasion, the President also engaged in a live video conference with several debtor representatives from various regions who participated in the simultaneous mass mortgage agreement signing. The dialogue served as a momentum for the Head of State to directly greet the beneficiaries while ensuring the seamless execution of the program nationwide.
Following the dialogue, President Prabowo, accompanied by the Minister of Housing and Settlement, presented house keys symbolically to four subsidized mortgage debtors. He also handed over financial assistance to four Housing Microcredit Schemes (KUR) beneficiaries representing low-income citizens from various professions and associations.
In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the simultaneous mass signing held across various regions in Indonesia. He reaffirmed that the program is part of the Government’s commitment to expanding public access to decent homeownership.
“Today, we stand together for the mass signing of 62,000 Housing Loan Agreements (KPR) held simultaneously across 165 locations, spanning 372 regencies and cities in 36 provinces throughout Indonesia,” the President stated.
President Prabowo emphasized that the Government will continue to work hard to ensure that more Indonesian citizens can achieve homeownership. According to him, the provision of decent housing is one of the basic needs that the state must fulfill for all its people.
Additionally, the President highlighted that the Government will not stop seeking various breakthroughs to increase the number of houses available to the public, particularly targeting low-income groups.
“We want all Indonesian citizens to have a decent home. To achieve this, we are working relentlessly on various programs, as we continue to plan and devise the best ways to significantly increase the number of [decent] homes for our people [to live in],” the President concluded.
