On that occasion, the two leaders addressed various strategic global issues, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the latest development in Southeast Asia.
“At the global level, we discussed Iran-Israel conflict and the current situation in Palestine. We continue to advocate for peaceful resolutions. We welcome the ceasefire between Israel and Iran. We hope it will last and move towards a peaceful settlement,” President Prabowo said during a joint press statement following the meeting.
President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia and Malaysia share the same view on the importance of peaceful resolution in conflict zones. The two countries have also agreed to fully support the independence of Palestine.
