The meeting served as a follow-up to the dialogue between President Prabowo and Michael Bloomberg during the President’s recent overseas working visit to New York.

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the discussion centered on efforts to enhance the quality of Indonesia’s human resources.

“One of the key points highlighted was the development of Indonesia’s human resource capacity through cooperation in the fields of education, health, and sanitation,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy said in a written statement.

Michael Bloomberg, known for his various global initiatives in public health, also shared insights in public office.

“Michael Bloomberg also conveyed his experiences on public health policy during his service as Mayor of New York,” Cabinet Secretary stated.

In addition to matters concerning human resources and public health, the meeting also explored potential cooperation between Bloomberg and the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara.

Cabinet Secretary also underscored that the collaboration aims to support programs that focus on improving the quality of people’s life.

“Besides human resource issues, the meeting also discussed opportunities for collaboration between Bloomberg and Danantara, particularly on programs directed at improving the community’s quality of life,” he explained.

On that occasion, the two parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the area of marine conservation.

The Cabinet Secretary emphasized that the meeting forms part of the Indonesian Government’s continued efforts to strengthen international partnerships in support of national development goals.
