President Prabowo: National Development Plan Must be Based on Pancasila
President Prabowo Subianto Monday (12/30) underscored the importance of the national development plan based on Pancasila’s economy.
“The founding fathers believed that the economy is structured on family-based principles. The Government is not only a referee but must also be a manager to maintain the all-natural wealth of the nation,” President Prabowo said at the opening of the National Meeting of the National Development Planning for the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan at the Office of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Jakarta.
The President also emphasized the importance of national economic development planning based on Pancasila values to achieve collective public welfare in accordance with the 1945 Constitution.
“The principles of state teach us that we do not know what to do if there is no planning. Therefore, strategic planning is a must, be it in the organizations, in private life, or corporations,” he added.
The Head of State went on to say that the Government is committed to tackling budget leaks and corruption and ordered all state apparatus to work transparently by enforcing strict laws against perpetrators of abuse of authority.
“Let us use this momentum to clean up and improve ourselves before the people ‘clean us up’,” President Prabowo said.
According to President Prabowo, the Government has set a target economic growth of 8 percent during the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and remains optimistic despite some people thinking the target is difficult.
“Let us do our best and carry out the plan with realism and concrete things,” the President said.
President Prabowo also expressed appreciation to the Head of Bappenas, regional heads, and the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency for their hard work in preparing the RPJMN.
“You are the leadership unit closest to the people and know the problems they face best. God willing, we can do well and swiftly in managing the country’s income,” the President remarked. (FID/DNS) (GWH/LW)
