President Prabowo: National Revival Is Built on Hard Work and Spirit of Unity
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated five dams across Indonesia in a centralized ceremony from Meninting Dam, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province, Friday (07/10).
In his remarks, the President stressed that these dams symbolize the continuity of national development, built through hard work and the spirit of unity.
“This is what we call nation-building. This is what we call a national revival. Nation-building and national revival do not come for free. Prosperity is not found on trees or falling from the sky, no. Prosperity comes from great work, hard work, and working together in unity,” the President said.
From history, President Prabowo has learned that nations capable of achieving progress are those that are able to maintain unity. “Especially the elites and the leaders, they must be united. They must be willing to accept reality with grace,” he said.
The President also emphasized that national prosperity cannot be achieved if corruption and budget leakages continue to occur. Therefore, he called on all state officials, the bureaucracy, ministries, and agencies to work together to improve themselves.
“Indonesia cannot be prosperous if corruption still prevails. Indonesia cannot be prosperous if there are many leakages,” the President said, while reminding state officials to be self-reflective and not go against the will of the people. According to him, the people want clean and honest governance that serves the public interest.
“I always convey this message to state officials, to government officers in the bureaucracy, in every ministry, in every agency. Let us work together to improve ourselves, to correct ourselves. I do not want to look to the past, but I ask you to improve yourselves. Be self-reflective, do not oppose the will of the people. The people do not want corruption to be tolerated. The people do not want fraud to continue,” the President underlined.
To that end, President Prabowo called on all Indonesians to continue nurturing love for the nation as a capital to safeguard national unity and sovereignty. “Only with love for the nation do we truly love the Indonesian nation.
