President Prabowo Subianto officially opens the Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum held at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday (06/11). His presence was warmly welcomed by an honor guard consisting of 1,500 students, drum bands, and the cadets of the University of Defence.
The event started with the reverberation of Indonesia Raya, the national anthem, then continued with an official report from Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, who was also the host. In his report, the Minister said that the Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum, carrying the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace & Stability”, will last for four days from the 11th to the 14th of June 2025.
“As many as 1,180 exhibitors partake in the event, with confirmation of attendance from 42 friendly countries through 659 foreign companies, and 521 local producers,” said the Minister.
President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the event’s success. According to the President, the event was held to provide ample opportunities for domestic and friendly countries’ defence industries.
“The expo gives opportunities for domestic defence industries, partner countries’ industries, Indonesian academics, all leaders of parties and societies, and surely, Indonesian young generations, to keep updated with technology development and sciences, especially in the defence sector,” said President Prabowo.
President Prabowo had a hand scan on the digital screen, marking the official opening of the Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum. The moment was greeted with big applause from participants, international delegates, industrial leaders, and invitees, who were coming from all around the world.
