President Prabowo Opens 2025 Apkasi Autonomy Expo

President Prabowo Subianto, Thursday (08/28), offically opened the 2025 Autonomy Expo of Indonesian Regency Governments Association (Apkasi), at the Nusantara Hall, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten province. Adopting the theme “Produk Lokal Mengglobal” (“Local Products Go International”), this year’s event is joined by hundreds of booths hosted by regencies in Indonesia to showcase their respective local key products.

The event was commenced with the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and Apkasi march, followed by a performance of Rampak Tangerang Dance, representing the region’s cultural identity which aligns with the spirit of promoting local potential adopted by the event. Afterwards, a video highlighting the organization of the 2024 Apkasi Expo, including the exhibitions of local innovations and key products, was played.

In his opening remarks, President Prabowo delivered his appreciation for this year’s event.

“I thank you for this invitation to attend and open the 2025 APKASI Autonomy Expo, Trade, Tourism, Investment and Procurement. It is such an honor for me to be present here in person and interact with you all,” he said.

In the meantime, the Chairperson of Apkasi Bursah Zarnubi underscored that this expo is a platform to introduce key products and potential of regions, aiming at attracting investment. He added that it will also open more opportunities and bring concrete impacts to the regions.

“This expo is not merely an exhibition, but also serves as a strategic platform to generate concrete opportunities, such as opening new markets and formulating business plans which will eventually boost acceleration of regional development,” he stated.

The event was also attended by ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, governors, regents, representatives from regional apparatus organizations, ambassadors of friendly countries, and representatives from entrepreneurs associations. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/TM)
