President Prabowo Subianto extended his Eid al-Fitr greetings and appreciation for the accelerated post-flood recovery in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh province. Upon performing the Eid prayer with local residents at Darussalam Mosque in the temporary housing area of Aceh Tamiang Regency, on Saturday (03/21), the President expressed his hope that the Eid momentum would bring goodness to all Indonesians.

Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), we have reached the day of Eid al-Fitr this time of the year. I would like to extend my sincere apologies and wish you a happy Eid, minal aidin wal faizin. May the coming year be a good year for all of us,” the President told the press.

On the occasion, the President also highlighted the significant progress of the post-disaster recovery, which he noted has been carried out rapidly. According to the Head of State, the recovery has reached nearly 100 percent.

“There are no more [residents] living in tents, 100 percent. Everyone has moved out from tents into temporary housing, and some even have started moving into permanent housing,” he remarked.

The President added that basic infrastructure has also been almost fully restored. “Electricity services have been restored almost entirely, nearly 100 percent. Only five villages across Aceh remain difficult [to reach],” he explained.

Furthermore, the President ensured that the government assistance has been distributed to the affected communities. “All aid has been delivered to the people, Alhamdulillah,” he affirmed.

For these achievements, the President expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management and recovery efforts. “I am very proud and grateful to all personnel and institutions, including TNI (the Indonesian National Defense Forces), Polri (the Indonesian National Police), BNPB (the National Disaster Management Agency), PU (the Ministry of Public Works), local governments, and all ministries and agencies who have worked with tireless effort to help people,” he stated.

The President also reiterated that disaster response efforts are being carried out not only in Aceh but also in other affected regions. Through this accelerated recovery, the Government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that affected communities can promptly return to normal activities with adequate support and facilities.
