President Prabowo, President Macron Inspect Cadet Troops at Magelang Military Academy

A solemn and dignified atmosphere prevailed in Pancasila Court, Magelang Military Academy, Central Java province, on Thursday (05/29). President Prabowo Subianto and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron attended a welcoming ceremony held at the military academy which was included in the agenda of President Macron’s state visit to Indonesia.
Both heads of state arrived at the ceremony court and walked side by side to the rostrum of honor. The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem of the French Republic La Marseillaise, and followed by Indonesia’s national anthem, Indonesia Raya.
The ceremony commander then reported to President Prabowo as the ceremony inspector. Afterwards, both heads of state proceeded to check the troops aboard a tactical vehicle named Maung. President Prabowo and President Macron passed through rows of cadets who were standing in honor formation.
The process showed a symbolic synergy between both friendly countries that are currently strengthening strategic partnership, not only at the government level, but also through education and human resources development in defense sector.
The welcoming ceremony held at the military academy served as a momentum for national pride, emphasizing that Indonesia’s diplomacy is not only built in a roundtable discussion, but it is also present in a meaningful ceremony at one of military academies that develop the future generation of the nation.
