During his state visit on Tuesday (12/09), President Prabowo Subianto was directly welcomed by President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. A warm atmosphere was evident as both leaders greeted each other and shook hands before proceeding with their meeting agenda.

From the reception area, they walked together to the meeting room on the fourth floor, briefly discussing the longstanding Indonesia–Pakistan friendship.

Before they entered the lift, a Pakistani child presented President Prabowo with a bouquet, adding a warm touch to the visit.

Upon arrival at the meeting room, the two leaders began the official agenda with a tête-à-tête meeting, exchanging views on regional developments and strengthening bilateral cooperation. This was followed by a bilateral meeting involving delegations from both countries, reaffirming the commitment to advancing mutually beneficial ties for the welfare of their peoples.

As part of the visit, President Prabowo also received Pakistan’s highest civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, presented directly by President Zardari in recognition of his contributions to strengthening Indonesia–Pakistan relations and strategic cooperation.
