President Prabowo Subianto gave presidential directives that reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening the national economy through governance reform of national resources, acceleration of strategic investment, and strengthening the management of export foreign exchange earnings during the Plenary Cabinet Meeting (SKP) held at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (7/20).

President Prabowo explained that the Government decided to establish a one-door export system as an effort to fix the governance of strategic commodity exports. Through this policy, the Government will be able to ensure that all export activities are conducted transparently while optimizing the state’s foreign exchange earnings generated from Indonesia’s natural resources.

“We are building a one-door export system to ensure that the state knows how much is being exported, to whom it is being sold, knows the actual selling price, and how much foreign exchange earnings should return to Indonesia. That is the objective,” highlighted President Prabowo.

To support the implementation of that policy, President Prabowo Subianto stated that the Government had established PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (PT DSI), which was launched on May 20th, 2026, and has been fully operating since July 1st, 2026.

“I remind everyone that all commodities belong to the Indonesian people. The land, the water, and all the natural resources contained therein belong to the Indonesian people. Nickel, rubber, everything, palm oil, coal, gold. Therefore, we are implementing a one-door export system, and we established PT DSI, Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia,” added President Prabowo.

The Head of State mentioned that the early implementation of this policy has shown positive results. In one month since its operation, PT DSI has been governing a significant number of foreign exchange earnings while also starting to reduce the gap between Indonesia’s commodity export prices and the price in the international market.

“In just one month, two weeks of operation, PT DSI has already managed more than USD 10.5 billion of foreign exchange earnings. Turns out based on the numbers gathered, before the establishment of PT DSI, the gap between commodity prices sold in Indonesia and those in international markets was at least 30 percent, and in some cases approached 40 – 45 percent,” explained President Prabowo.

President Prabowo also emphasized that the Government would not tolerate practices that harm the state or businesses that fail to comply with the law. The government, according to the President, will take firm measures to ensure the governance of national resources is carried out in accordance with national interests.

“Because we are firm, continuing these practices, these frauds, continuing it, we will revoke the license. I will not discriminate, we will revoke the licenses of those who do not comply with the law of the Republic of Indonesia,” emphasized President Prabowo.

Moreover, President Prabowo stated that the reform conducted by the Government is starting to gain recognition from the international world. With stronger food security, support from the energy sector, and abundant national resource potential, the President is optimistic that Indonesia can achieve its goal to become a global food barn.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are beginning to gain recognition, and we will prove it. I am confident and believe that we will become a global food barn. I believe that,” stated President Prabowo. (Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat) (TCUD/LW)
