President Prabowo Receives Letters of Credence from Seven New Ambassadors
President Prabowo Subianto Monday (11/04) received letters of credence from seven Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) of friendly countries to the Republic of Indonesia, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the ambassadors at the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace. They were greeted with a welcoming ceremony carried out by the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres). Afterwards, the national anthems of each country were reverberated as part of the official salute.
The ambassadors then moved to the Credentials Room to hand over their letters of credence to President Prabowo. The handover of this letter officially marks the start of their diplomatic duties in Indonesia.
The seven new ambassadors are as follows:
- Marc Gerritsen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Roberto Sarmento de Oliveira Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Martin Makururu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Oybek Eshonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Wang Lutong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Abdelouahab Osmane, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Indonesia;
- Enkhtaivan Dashnyam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Indonesia. (TGH/DNS) (FI/LW)
