President Prabowo Receives President Donald Trump’s Phone Call, Discusses Cooperation and Global Peace

President Prabowo Subianto received a phone call from President of the United States of America Donald Trump, Thursday (June 12, 2025). During the 15-minute phone conversation, both heads of state shared updates with each other and discussed recent developments in both countries.

“Both leaders shared information on how they were and recent developments in both countries, be it in the USA or Indonesia,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in his press statement.

President Prabowo is said to congratulate President Trump on being re-elected as the President of the United States of America. In response, President Trump also congratulated President Prabowo who has been elected as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

“President Prabowo once again extended congratulations to President Trump on being re-elected as the President of the United States of America. Also, President Trump congratulated President Prabowo who has been elected as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia,” the Cabinet Secretary further explained.

In a warm conversation, both leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries. President Prabowo and President Trump have agreed to improve cooperation between Indonesia and the USA.

“As the leaders of two big nations, both heads of state agree to improve cooperation between Indonesia and the USA, and to firmly reiterate their support for efforts to maintain stability and global peace,” the Cabinet Secretary mentioned.
