President Prabowo Subianto received a report on the progress of the implementation of the economic stimulus package in the first quarter of 2026. The report was delivered by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto at a limited meeting, chaired by President Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/11).

In his report, Coordinating Minister Airlangga stated that the budget realization for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program for the first quarter was estimated to reach Rp60 trillion. “And this will certainly also stimulate the economy,” he said.

In addition, the Government has also launched various transportation incentives, which were announced last Tuesday (2/10) at Gambir Station. The package includes a 30 percent discount on trains, 30 percent on sea transportation, 100 percent on ferry services, and a 17 to 18 percent discount on airline tickets.

“Then, there’s the 17 to 18 percent discount on airline tickets, which was around 11 percent last year. Then, there’s the toll road discount. The total budget estimate is Rp911.16 billion, in which Rp639.86 billion comes from the state budget and Rp271.5 billion from non-state budgets,” he said.

Regarding social protection, he said that the Government will distribute food assistance to beneficiary families.

“This consists of 10 kilograms of rice and 2 liters of cooking oil for 35.04 million beneficiary families, or deciles 1 to 4, with a budget of Rp11.92 trillion. Regional Governments and relevant agencies are expected to ensure smooth logistics,” he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the flexible work or work from anywhere (WFA) policy, he said that this policy will be in effect on March 16, 17, 25, 26, and 27 to support smooth public mobility ahead of the holidays. “So, we can prepare for the upcoming holidays,” he concluded.
