President Prabowo Returns Home after Short Visit to China

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Wednesday (09/03) at around 9 p.m. Indonesian Western Time. This arrival concluded his short visit to the People’s Republic of China made at President Xi Jinping’s invitation. Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi welcomed President Prabowo’s arrival.
During his approximately eight-hour visit to Beijing, President Prabowo attended the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of China Victory Day, along with other world leaders. Twenty-six Heads of States participated in the event.
On this occasion, President Prabowo also had special meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. They were discussing the follow-ups and continuance of various economic investments between Indonesia and each of both countries.
This short yet meaningful visit reflected Indonesia’s commitment to play an active role in maintaining stability in the region as well as strengthening global partnerships. President Prabowo’s presence also underlined Indonesia’s position as a strategic and significant partner on the world stage.
Joining the President on the flight from Beijing was Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
