President Prabowo Returns to Jakarta After Concluding 46th ASEAN Summit

Following his participation in the 46th ASEAN Summit, President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (05/27) departed for Indonesia from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) Base in Subang.

President Prabowo and his entourage took off for Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, at 3.35 p.m. local time.

During his overseas working visit in Malaysia, the President engaged in a series of high-level meetings within the ASEAN Summit framework.

Among the key issues raised was Indonesia’s proposal and support for Papua New Guinea’s prospective membership in ASEAN.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Prabowo also held bilateral discussions with leaders of neighboring countries, including Prime Minister of Lao PDR Sonexay Siphandone and Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong.

President Prabowo’s participation in the summit underscored Indonesia’s strategic leadership in Southeast Asia, which reflects the country’s strong commitment to maintaining a constructive, forward-looking, and solution-oriented role in the region.
