President Prabowo Subianto personally accompanied the departure of French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron for their state visit to Singapore, at Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta province, on Thursday (05/29).
This heartfelt occasion occurred the same day after both leaders concluded a shared agenda at the Borobudur Temple complex in Magelang, Central Java province.
President Prabowo, accompanied by his son Didit Hediprasetyo, escorted President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron to the aircraft steps as a gesture of respect and friendship between the two countries. The honor guard added a solemn tone to the occasion.
Also present to bid farewell to President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron were Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Vice Governor of Special Region of Yogyakarta KGPAA Paku Alam X.
This departure marked the conclusion of President Macron’s busy yet meaningful state visit. On this occasion, President Prabowo and President Macron have engaged in several key activities, including a welcoming ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, a visit to the Military Academy in Magelang, and a tour of the Borobudur World Heritage site.
Following the departure, President Prabowo returned to Jakarta. This visit not only strengthened the strategic partnership between the two countries but also served as a strong symbol of diplomacy built on warmth and mutual trust between the two leaders.
