President Prabowo Shares Warm Moment with Senen Relocation Residents in New Housing

President Prabowo Subianto, on Friday night (08/28), visited relocated Senen residents at their new housing complex. The residents had previously lived along the railway tracks near Senen Station, Central Jakarta for over a decade.

In his written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that President Prabowo met with the residents upon concluding his schedules at Merdeka Palace.

“After finishing his official duties at Merdeka Palace tonight, President Prabowo met with residents at their new housing; they had lived along the Senen Station railway tracks in Jakarta for more than a decade,” the Cabinet Secretary stated.

A published video captured the residents’ enthusiasm as President Prabowo appeared among them. Several residents repeatedly called out to the Head of State, expressing their gratitude and well-wishes.

“Sir! Mr. Prabowo! Please stay healthy, sir. Thank you very much, sir!” said several residents as they welcomed the President.

Residents also expressed their deep gratitude for the new housing that they now live in. One resident shared his joy upon moving into his new home.

“I am so happy here, sir. Thank you so much, sir. Wishing you good health, sir,” he expressed.

Another resident personally thanked the President for the opportunity to relocate into the new community. “Sir, I can [finally] live here, sir. Thank you, sir,” he said.

Prayers then accompanied the Head of State throughout the evening visit. “Wishing you success, long life, and good health always, sir,” one resident said, followed by another who added, “May you live a long life, sir.”

Before departing, President Prabowo reminded residents to maintain the new residential area together. “Please keep [the environment] clean,” the President advised.

The visit marked a warm moment for the residents, who are embracing life in a new environment after spending over a decade living along the Senen railway tracks. The new housing is expected to provide a more decent, safe, and comfortable living space for all families involved.
