Presiden Tegaskan Komitmen Tingkatkan Layanan Haji dalam

President Prabowo affirms his commitment to improve Hajj service in his remarks.

The establishment of an Indonesian “Hajj Village” in Makkah is a special honor granted to Indonesia by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Prabowo Subianto Sunday (02/08) in his remarks at the Mujahadah Kubro marking the centennial of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), held at Gajayana Stadium, Malang city, East Java province.

“I would like to report here, before the ulama and the extended NU family, that for the first time Indonesia has received the honor and the right to own land in the Holy City of Makkah,” President Prabowo said.

The planned development of the Hajj Village marks a historic milestone in Indonesia–Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, as it is the first time another nation has been permitted to own land in Makkah. “This is the first time in history that the Saudi government has allowed another nation to own land in the Holy City of Makkah. Ladies and gentlemen, they amended their law specifically to honor the Indonesian nation,” the President explained.

Hajj Village will be dedicated to facilitating Indonesian pilgrims performing the Hajj and Umrah. The initiative represents a concrete effort by the government to provide the best possible services for worshippers.

“In the future, all pilgrims will be guaranteed proper accommodation and good facilities. There should be no more doubts, no more irregularities,” he emphasized.

The President also set a target for the Hajj Village to be fully developed within the next three years. “In just a few months, I believe we will already have approximately one thousand rooms. But we will continue to expand,” he said.

On the same occasion, President Prabowo reiterated the government’s commitment to improving Hajj services, including reducing pilgrimage costs. “The services will be the best, and I am determined to lower the cost of Hajj for the Indonesians,” he affirmed.
