President Prabowo Subianto arrives home after concluding his state visits to Japan and the Republic of Korea, Wednesday (04/01) night.

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (04/01) arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at around 11:55 p.m. Western Indonesian Time after concluding his state visits to Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Upon arrival, President Prabowo was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency Muhammad Herindra.

During his visit to Japan, President Prabowo paid a courtesy call to Emperor Naruhito and met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. He also attended an Indonesia-Japan business forum that produced a number of cooperation agreements worth a total of US$23.63 billion, or around Rp401.71 trillion.

In the Republic of Korea, President Prabowo and President Lee Jae Myung agreed to push for the elevation of the Indonesia-Republic of Korea comprehensive partnership to its highest level. The state visit marked an important milestone toward upgrading bilateral ties into a special comprehensive strategic partnership.

President Prabowo’s visit to the Republic of Korea also delivered significant investment outcomes, including the signing of ten memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between government institutions and seventeen MoUs between private businesses from both countries, valued at US$10.268 billion, or about Rp174 trillion.

In general, the two visits produced investment pledges worth a total of Rp575 trillion.

The two visits underscore President Prabowo’s economic diplomacy in strengthening Indonesia’s position as a strategic partner in Asia, while boosting global investor confidence in the country’s stability and economic growth outlook. The achievements are expected to be followed up with concrete investment realization that supports job creation, strengthens national industry, and improve public welfare.
