President Prabowo Subianto, Saturday (20/09) at 05.50 local time, arrived at JFK International Airport, New York, the US, marking the start of his working visit to attend the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly.

In his written statement last Friday (19/09), Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that President Prabowo would be the third speaker to deliver his address during the General Debate session on Tuesday (23/09).

“According to the official schedule, President Prabowo will deliver his address as the third speaker in the UN General Debate session on 23 September 2025, following President of Brazil and President of the US.

Teddy further stated that this year’s General Assembly serves as a pivotal momentum for Indonesia to reassert its presence at the highest level of the UN forum as well as to reaffirm its role as a leader of the Global South, consistently advocating the agenda of global governance reform.

This UN forum will also serve as a platform for Indonesia to advocate for the interests of developing countries and to strengthen Indonesia’s diplomatic position on the global stage. (Bureau of Press and Media of Presidential Secretariat) (GA/EP)
