President Prabowo Subianto Bids Farewell to Thai PM at Halim Air Base, Reflecting Warm Personal Ties and Stronger Indonesia–Thailand Cooperation

The warm rapport between President Prabowo Subianto and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul was evident during the farewell at the conclusion of the PM Anutin’s official visit to Indonesia.

President Prabowo personally accompanied PM Anutin Charnvirakul at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta,Tuesday (8/4).

The President, who arrived earlier at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, welcomed PM Anutin as he stepped out of his vehicle.

The two leaders then shook hands and exchanged a brief conversation, reflecting the warm and friendly relationship between them.

President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister Anutin walked side by side towards the aircraft stairs, flanked by an honor guard on both sides. The President then personally saw off PM Anutin to the foot of the aircraft stairs before his departure.

Those accompanying the President in seeing off Prime Minister Anutin included Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Hari Prabowo, Thai Ambassador to Indonesia Prapan Disyatat, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN Prinat Apirat, and Thai Defense Attaché to Indonesia Sittirat Pusongchai.

The procession marked the conclusion of Prime Minister Anutin’s official visit to Indonesia that produced a number of significant agreements to further strengthen the strategic partnerships between the two countries.

The farewell between the two leaders reflects not only their warm personal relationship, but also optimism for the closer cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand, which is expected to deliver tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries and contribute to regional stability.
