President Prabowo Subianto Emphasizes Professionalism in Danantara Team Selection

President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (03/05) met with the leadership of the National Investment Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of professionalism in forming the Danantara team to ensure competitive and sustainable investment that will boost the national economy.

Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara, stated that during the meeting they discussed the initial progress of Danantara since its launch. According to Rosan, President Prabowo emphasized that the selection of the Danantara team should be carried out prudently.

As part of a transparent and professional recruitment process, Danantara will join hands with local and international headhunters and advisors.

“We will announce names, perhaps next week, so the public can see that those appointed as managers and executives of Danantara are reputable individuals with proven track records, integrity, and expertise in their respective fields,” Rosan said.

During the meeting, Danantara’s leadership also reported the planned investment and priority projects to be funded by the agency.

“We have an investment committee that will assess and analyze these opportunities based on multiple parameters. While return on investment is important, other key considerations include job creation, reducing imports, boosting exports, and enhancing competitiveness,” he explained.

Rosan also commented on the recent decline in the Indonesia Stock Exchange Index (IHSG), stating that this trend is not unique to Indonesia but is also occurring in other countries.

“The fundamentals of our companies and banks are very solid and strong. So, we believe in these fundamentals. The President also discussed this matter and expressed his confidence in our economy,” Rosan concluded. (BPMI Setpres) (RI/LW)
