President Prabowo Subianto Entrusts Baton of Gov’t Leadership to IPDN Graduates
Young civil servants (Pamong Praja Muda) are the successor generation who will take over the relay of government leadership and determine the success of Indonesia’s future development, President Prabowo Subianto said.
“The future is in your hands. We are working and devoting ourselves to pave the way for you. You are all our children who have been forged to carry on the Republic once we’re gone,” the President said during the inauguration ceremony of the state-run Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) graduates Class XXXIII, at the IPDN campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang regency, West Java province, Wednesday (07/29).
He underscored that young civil servants should prepare themselves to be the best leaders capable of performing the governance, bureaucracy, and ensuring that all national development programs are implemented effectively.
The President added that the success of the government ideas, plans, and policies is determined by its implementation on the ground.
“No matter how great the ideas, plans, and policies are, when they are not really implemented on the ground, we cannot achieve those ideas and realize those plans,” he stated.
In his remarks, the President also reminded all that Indonesia is a great country with abundant potentials and natural resources, which have long been the target of other nations. Therefore, he added, all Indonesians should always maintain the national unity.
“Divide et impera, divide and conquer is their strategy. It is within their knowledge. Divide et impera divides us. It divides ethnicities, religions, races, ethnic groups, and groups,” he said.
The President went on to say that the advanced development of a country depends on the quality of its government. He underscored that bureaucracy must be run professionally, with discipline, free from corruption, and always prioritize the interests of the people.
On that occasion, President Prabowo stated that the goal of realizing Indonesia as an advanced, modern, independent nation capable of providing prosperity for its entire people is almost realized. The Head of State also stated that various global projections place Indonesia as one of the largest economies in the coming decades.
The President also reminded all that collaboration among government institutions and the entire Indonesian nation is crucial in realizing a successful development. He called on all young civil servants to become humble leaders, capable of building cooperation with all stakeholders, and upholding the spirit of mutual respect and mutual empowerment.
“I believe that the graduates of IPDN Class XXXIII of 2026 are the nation’s finest sons and daughters who possess the spirit of dedication, discipline, courage, and integrity,” he concluded. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/MMB)
