President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (06/05) received a visit from Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles at Kertanegara, Jakarta.
“The meeting between the two leaders was held at President Prabowo’s private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, to discuss strategic measures to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said.
Deputy Prime Minister Marles arrived at Kertanegara at 5:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, and was greeted by President Prabowo. The two leaders sat side by side and engaged in open and direct dialogue on a range of strategic issues.
The visit by Richard Marles, after the recent official visit of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to Indonesia, highlighting the high level of engagement and the commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
Beyond the strategic discussions, the meeting also reflected a warm personal rapport, supported by mutual respect as partners in maintaining regional stability and security.
President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the meeting.
