President Prabowo Subianto in Türkiye for State Visit, Parliament Speech

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday evening (04/09) arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara for a state visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Türkiye.
The President and his entourage landed at at Esenboğa International Airport and was personally welcomed by President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Alhamdulillah, tonight at 7:30 PM Ankara time, the President arrived in Ankara and was personally welcomed by His Excellency President Erdoğan, right at the bottom of the stairs. We saw a warm handshake and an embrace between the two leaders,” Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said in a press statement.
According to Yusuf, the welcoming ceremony, which included an honor guard, highlighted the close diplomatic and personal ties between the two leaders.
For the record, one of the highlights of the visit is President Prabowo Subianto’s scheduled address at the Turkish Parliament, where members of parliament and invited guests are expected to be in attendance.
The President will also be honored with an official state welcome at the Erdoğan Presidential Palace, with the ceremony including singing of the national anthems of both countries, a formal inspection of the honor guard, and the introduction of the official delegates.
“A series of high-level meetings will follow, started with a private tête-à-tête between President Prabowo Subianto and President Erdoğan, followed by a bilateral meeting between delegations of the two countries during which several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed,” Yusuf said, adding that the two leaders are also set to deliver a joint press statement before participating in the state dinner hosted in President Prabowo Subianto’s honor.
As part of his state visit to Türkiye, the Indonesian President is also scheduled to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) in Antalya, signaling a strategic push to deepen bilateral ties and elevate Indonesia’s role on the global diplomatic stage. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RIF/EP)
