President Prabowo Subianto Inaugurates Bali International Hospital, Showcasing World-Class Facilities

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (05/25) inaugurated Bali International Hospital in Denpasar, Bali province.

In his remarks at the inauguration, the President expressed his pride in the hospital’s world-class facilities, which he likened to those of a five-star hotel – reflecting Indonesia’s progress and development as a growing nation.

“I think Bali International Hospital is remarkable. When I arrived, it looked like a hotel. A hospital with marble floors surely feels like a hotel. This reflects Indonesia as major, developing, and dynamic country. We must provide the best facilities, so we can become a regional hub to treat patients from South East Asia, the Pacific region, and beyond,” the President said.

Prior to the inauguration, the President toured some facilities within the Bali International Hospital.

Executive Director of Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia – Healthcare Corporation (IHC), Dr. dr. Lukman Ma’ruf who joined the President during the visit – highlighted the hospital’s capabilities and readiness to provide international-standard healthcare services.

“President Prabowo visited Bali International Hospital with us and ministers. This hospital operates with 255 beds, eight operation rooms, and four cardiac examination rooms,” said Lukman.

During the visit, President Prabowo Subianto also inspected ICON, the hospital’s oncology unit  for tumor and cancer patients. Among the key technologies in use is LINAC (Linear Accelerator), a cutting-edge device used to treat cancers including an advanced-stage tumors.

“The President acknowledged the high-tech LINAC device, which offers optional treatment for tumor patients, especially those in stage III or IV. It also prevent tumors progression to malignancy,” Lukman added.

According to Lukman, the President expressed strong appreciation for the hospital’s comprehensive medical facilities and services, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, and orthopedy – all integrated within the hospital.

“The President is very proud of Bali International Hospital, which has the best medical devices and services including cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, and orthopedy integrated into the hospital, which is usually separated,” said Lukman.

“President Prabowo also delivered a message that Bali International Hospital, which houses top-tier medical services typically found in separate hospitals. Here, they are seamlessly integrated,” Lukman added.

The Head of State concluded with a message of commitment that Bali International Hospital will continue striving to deliver the best services to the public and become a national flagship healthcare facility in the near future.
