President Prabowo Subianto Inaugurates BNPB Chief and BPGMN Chief

President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (10/15) at the State Palace, Jakarta, inaugurated Lieutenant General Kristomei Sianturi of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) as Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

At the same ceremony, the President also inaugurated Satyawan Pudyatmoko as Head of the National Peatland and Mangrove Management Agency (BPGMN) and TNI Major General Sriyanto as its Deputy Head.

Kristomei Sianturi’s appointment was made pursuant to Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113/P of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Head of the National Disaster Management Agency.

Meanwhile, the appointments of Satyawan Pudyatmoko and Sriyanto were made pursuant to Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43/M of 2026 on the Appointment of the Head and Deputy Head of the National Peatland and Mangrove Management Agency.

Both presidential decrees were read out by Nanik Purwanti, Deputy for Personnel Administration at Ministry of State Secretariat.

During the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto administered the oath of office to the newly appointed officials, who pledged to fulfil their duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

“I swear that I will remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully uphold all laws and regulations in service to the nation and state,” the President said while administering the oath of office to the newly appointed officials.

Following the inauguration, the newly appointed officials signed the official record of the ceremony. The event concluded with congratulations from President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, followed by the other guests in attendance.

The inauguration was attended by leaders of state institutions, ministers and agency heads from the Red-and-White Cabinet, and other invited guests. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (EST/MEP)
