President Prabowo Subianto Monday (06/30) inaugurated Danantara Indonesia headquarters, Wisma Danantara, in Jakarta. The inauguration marked a new chapter for Indonesia’s investment management agency, which was established under Law Number 1 of 2025 on State-owned Enterprises (SOEs).

Upon arrival at the venue, President Prabowo was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming and Group CEO of the State-Owned Enterprises Investment Management Agency (BPI) Rosan Roeslani. In his report, Rosan Roeslani delivered his highest appreciation to the President for his directive in establishing Wisma Danantara as the agency’s headquarters.

He went on to say that Danantara Indonesia currently manages over US$1 trillion in assets across 889 strategic SOEs.

“This is a weighty responsibility but we are fully committed to carrying out the mandate to the best of our ability,” he said.

According to Rosan, Wisma Danantara will serve as a “home” for the state, business sector, academicians, and stakeholders to meet and collaborate in achieving the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision. Danantara is also aimed at accelerating Indonesia’s economic growth, with a target of reaching 8 percent.

In managing these assets, he added, Danantara will comply with the provisions of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, aiming to deliver the greatest benefit to the people.

Since its launch by President Prabowo on February 24, 2025, Danantara Indonesia has achieved significant milestones, securing international investment partnerships worth US$7 billion from various countries such as Qatar, Russia, China, and Australia. Moreover, the agency is projected to receive an additional US$10 billion in new funding from foreign banks by July.

“The level of trust from abroad is truly remarkable, and we are still considering several other potential partnerships and funding opportunities,” Rosan said. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/MUR)
