President Prabowo Subianto Inaugurates Integrated Precious Metal Refinery, Stadium Renovation in E. Java

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (03/17) arrived at the Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo regency, East Java province for a working visit.

The arrival of the President was welcomed by Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Brawijaya Military Commander Major General Rudy Saladin, and Chief of East Java Regional Police Inspector General Nanang Avianto.

From Sidoarjo, President Prabowo continued his trip to Gresik regency using the Airforce’s caracal helicopter. In Gresik, President Prabowo visited a smelter area at PT Freeport Indonesia and inaugurate the world’s largest integrated precious metal refinery.

Afterward, the President headed back to Sidoarjo regency to visit Delta Sidoarjo Stadium to launch the rehabilitation, renovation, and construction projects of seventen stadiums across Indonesia.

“The presence of the President in Gresik reflects the Government’s commitment to promoting precious metal refinery industry in the country. Meanwhile, the inauguration of rehabilitated, renovated and [newly] constructed stadiums serves as the Government’s concrete step to improve sports facilities,” Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said.
