President Prabowo Subianto Inaugurates KPK Leaders, Supervisory Board Members

President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the Leaders and Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the 2024-2029 term at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (12/16).

The appointment of the Leaders and Supervisory Board Members is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 161/P of 2024 on the Dismissal with Honor and Appointment of the Leaders and Members of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission for the 2024-2029 Term.

The five KPK leaders who took the oath of office are as follows:

  1. Setyo Budiyanto, as chairperson and member;
  2. Fitroh Rohcahyanto, as deputy chairperson and member;
  3. Ibnu Basuki Widodo, as deputy chairperson and member;
  4. Johanis Tanak, as deputy chairperson and member; and
  5. Agus Joko Pramono, as deputy chairperson and member.

Meanwhile, the five Board members listed in the Presidential Decree who also took their oaths are:

  1. Gusrizal, as board chairperson and member;
  2. Benny Jozua Mamoto, as member;
  3. Chisca Mirawati, as member;
  4. Sumpeno, as member; and
  5. Wisnu Baroto, as member.

“I solemnly swear that I will carry out my duties and authority in diligent, thorough, objective, honest, courageous, fair manners, regardless of positions, ethnicities, religions, races, genders, or any particular groups. I will do my utmost to fulfill my obligations responsibilities to God Almighty, the people, the nation, and the state,” the oath of office reads.

In a statement to the media, KPK Chairperson Setyo Budiyanto said that the leaders and the Board would adhere to the duties and functions of the KPK in performing their roles. He also mentioned that the President had firmly emphasized the importance of using the budget wisely and eradicating corruption on several occasions.

“We will follow this guidance to find ways to support the President’s program in ensuring that the Government uses the State Budget wisely, protects it, and ensures that procurement of goods and services strictly complies with regulations,” he said. (BPMI/ABD) (EST/RAS/LW)
