President Prabowo Subianto Inspects Relief Efforts in Central Tapanuli

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (12/01) arrived at flood-affected Central Tapanuli regency in North Sumatra province to inspect the disaster response effort in the region.
Upon arriving at Pandan Sports Center’s Helipad, the President and the entourage proceeded to the sports center area, which serves as the disaster-response coordination center, to inspect the public kitchen and ensure that relief supplies are being distributed effectively to the residents.
The President also inspected the medical post and evacuation shelter, which are currently housing residents from several flood-affected districts.
During the visit, the Head of State also spoke with some residents, who described the condition of their homes and the difficulties their families faced when the flood struck their neighborhood.
The Head of State affirmed that the Government has implemented effective emergency measures and has distributed aids to the affected residents, while calling for swift, targeted, effective, and comprehensive disaster response efforts. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/EP)
