President Prabowo Subianto Kicks off Qatar State Visit

President Prabowo Subianto Saturday (04/12) arrived at Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar at around 21.15 p.m. local time for a state visit.

The President was welcomed by Qatari Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar Ridwan Hassan, and Defense Attaché of Indonesian Embassy in Doha Colonel Tengku Sony Sonatha.

In Qatar, the President is slated to conduct a state visit and meet with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The welcoming ceremony and meeting will take place at the Amiri Diwan Palace, Doha on Sunday (04/13).

“[We will] sign several agreements between Qatar and Indonesia, as well as other strategic agreement and alignment between our two nations,” the President said in a press statement before kicking off the series of state visit on Wednesday (04/09), at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.

Joining President Prabowo during the visit were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/EP)
