President Prabowo Subianto (10/05) presided as the Ceremony Inspector at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI).
The ceremony commenced with a formal salute to the ceremony inspector, who then led by proceedings. inspector.
Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi, currently serving as the Commander of the Joint Defense Regional Command III, served as the ceremony commander. On this occasion, Brigadier General Fitriana Nur Heru Wibawa acted as the ceremony officer.
Afterwards, the ceremony commander delivered report to the ceremony inspector, followed by the troop inspection.
During the troop inspection, the President was accompanied by Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto, riding in an Indonesia-made tactical vehicle Maung vehicle.
The President then led a moment of silence as a tribute to the fallen heroes of the nation, followed by the recital of Sapta Marga, the seven principles of TNI.
On that occasion, the President congratulated the TNI on its 80th Anniversary, while expressing his highest appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and devotion of all ranks of TNI in maintaining the sovereignty and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
“On behalf of the nation, the state, and the government of Indonesia, I’d like to extend my gratitude and highest appreciation to the TNI personnel for their achievement. TNI always stand firm in critical moments and never hesitate to put the interests of the nation, the state, and the people above all else,” he said.
After the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto also witnessed the TNI troop demonstration, the troop parade, and the demonstration of the TNI’s Primary Weaponry Defense System (Alutsista).
The President appeared enthusiastic as he watched various displays showcasing the readiness and professionalism of soldiers from the army, navy, and air force. The thunderous sounds of combat vehicles, helicopters, and fighter jets flying over the skies of Jakarta added to the grandeur of the event.
