President Prabowo Subianto Friday (02/13) inaugurated 1,072 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) and 18 Food Security Warehouses, as well as led the groundbreaking of 107 additional the National Police SPPG units across Indonesia.

The event took place at the National Police SPPG in Palmerah, West Jakarta.

Ahead of the event, the President was welcomed by several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet, high-ranking officers of the Indonesian National Police, and guests from various regions who attended the ceremony in a hybrid format.

The agenda began with a report by Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who outlined the progress and the National Police’s commitment to supporting the Government’s strategic programs.

On that occasion, Listyo emphasized the National Police’s commitment to an active role in supporting the national nutrition fulfillment program and strengthening food security as part of the Government’s strategic agenda.

He also noted that the strengthening of SPPG and the supporting food security infrastructure are intended to deliver tangible benefits to the public.

“Through the strengthening of the National Police SPPG and the support of food security infrastructure, the National Police  is committed to providing nutrition services that are safe, high-quality, and equitable, while also reinforcing the food ecosystem from upstream to downstream. This is intended to truly deliver a meaningful impact on the growth and development of the nation’s golden generation,” he said.

On the same occasion, President Prabowo Subianto also presented state honors—including Bintang Jasa Utama, Bintang Jasa Pratama, Bintang Jasa Nararya, and Satya Lencana Wira Karya. These awards were conferred in recognition of dedication and contributions in supporting the Government’s priority programs.

In his remarks, the President expressed his appreciation and pride in the initiative taken by the National Police  to actively support the national nutrition program, describing the initiative as a reflection of strategic awareness and concern for a critical issue affecting the nation’s future.

“Today, I truly feel happy, pleased, and satisfied because I see that one of the most important institutions of our country and nation, the National Police, has taken the initiative in a field that may not seem to be its primary duty. However, the leadership of the National Police has recognized a crucial issue concerning the survival of a nation,” said President Prabowo.

As a symbol of the inauguration, the Head of State pressed an LED cube and signed a commemorative plaque, marking the commencement of operations and construction of 1,179 National Police SPPG and 18 Police Food Security Warehouses nationwide.

These include 411 SPPG already operational in various regions, the launch of 162 additional operational SPPG, the construction of 499 SPPG, and the groundbreaking of 107 National Police SPPG units across Indonesia.

This momentum reflects the Government’s strong commitment to expanding access to nutrition services while strengthening the stability of the national food system.

Cross-sector collaboration between the Government and the National Police is expected to create sustainable impact, improve the quality of Indonesia’s younger generation, and reinforce the foundation toward the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

Also in attendance were several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet, Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana, Head of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency Ahmad Haikal Hassan, Head of the Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) Prof. Dr. Taruna Ikrar, as well as Deputy Chair of Commission I of the House of Representatives and Chair of National Karang Taruna Budisatrio Djiwandono.  (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RD/EP)
