President Prabowo Subianto Meets Turkish Parliament Speaker

President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (04/10) commenced his state visit to Türkiye with a bilateral meeting with Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, at the Parliament Building in Ankara.
Upon his arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by Speaker Kurtulmuş and immediately signed the Book of Honor, a gesture of respect for Türkiye legislative institution.
The subsequent meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of two nations, as well as enhancing the broader strategic relationship between Indonesia and Türkiye.
During the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by a delegation of key Indonesian officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Also in attendance were Head of the National Disaster Management Agency Suharyanto, Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director General of the Americas and Europe Umar Hadi, and Indonesian Ambassador to Türkiye Achmad Rizal Purnama.
The meeting underscored both nations’ commitment to enhancing institutional cooperation in various sectors.
Following the talks, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver a state address to the Turkish Parliament, with members of parliament, diplomats, Turkish officials, business leaders, and the Indonesian diaspora in attendance. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat) (GWH/EP)
