President Prabowo Subianto, Ministers Discuss Government’s Strategic Programs

President Prabowo Subianto had a meeting with several ministers and members of the Red and White Cabinet at his private residence at Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday evening (05/10). The meeting discussed the progress of several Government’s strategic programs in the field of people’s welfare and national resilience.

Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, stated in a written statement that the President called several ministers to monitor the progress of several Government’s main programs.

“President Prabowo Subianto called several ministers and members of the Red and White Cabinet to discuss the progress of several Government’s main programs such as MBG (Free Nutritious Meal), Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (Red and White Village Cooperatives), Kampung Nelayan (Fishing Village), energy and food security, economic stimulus package, and various other programs,” said Cabinet Secretary.

Moreover, the Cabinet Secretary explained that during the meeting, the Head of State emphasized the importance of hygiene and health aspects in the implementation of Free Nutritious Meal program.

“The President ordered Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) that by next week at the latest, all [MBG] kitchens should be equipped with a test kit to check the hygiene of the food, the dishwasher as well as dryer are hygienic with hot water feature and specific necessary tools to prevent bacteria and to filter water.    

In addition, the President also gave special instructions to the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Affairs, Muhaimin Iskandar, to conduct inspections on the conditions of Islamic boarding schools in various regions.

“Furthermore, the President ordered the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Affairs, Muhaimin Iskandar, to inspect as well as fix the conditions of Islamic boarding schools. One of the aspects that need to be inspected is the strength of the building structure. He also emphasized the need to assist and urged the owners of boarding schools to pay close attention to the renovation or development process if they plan to build or expand their facilities,” concluded Cabinet Secretary.
