President Prabowo Subianto Friday (09/26) was officially received by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague on Friday (09/26).
The meeting with the Dutch monarchs’ marked one of the main highlights of the President’s working visit to the Netherlands.
The occasion was particularly significant as the President was welcomed not only by King Willem-Alexander in his capacity as Head of State, but also by Queen Máxima.
The joint reception by both the King and Queen is a rare gesture, underscoring the high regard of the Dutch Royal Household for the Indonesian President.
Upon his arrival at Huis ten Bosch Palace, the Head of State proceeded up the main staircase to the Palace entrance before signing the guest book, marking his presence and commemorating the historic nature of the visit.
After the signing of the guest book, President Prabowo Subianto proceeded to the DNA Room, one of the ceremonial chambers of the palace., where he was warmly welcomed by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
The cordial reception reflected the close and longstanding ties between Indonesia and the Netherlands that continue to evolve over time.
The meeting commenced with an official photo session as a symbolic opening, followed by formal discussions in a friendly atmosphere marked by mutual respect.
President Prabowo Subianto, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Máxima exchanged views on a range of important issues, including the strengthening of bilateral relations across strategic sectors.
The President and King Willem-Alexander share a military background, a commonality that added a personal dimension to the talks.
