President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (07/23) officially unveiled the logo and theme for the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The launching ceremony was held simultaneously in a hybrid format and was attended by regional leaders, officials from ministries/institutions, and Indonesian representatives abroad via video conference.

In his remarks, President Prabowo emphasized that the 80th anniversary is not merely a ceremonial event but a moment of reflection and unity for the nation.

“This year we celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Eight decades this nation has been free. It is a long journey built with the spirit of struggle, with the sacrifice of body and soul from the people of the nation,” the President said.

On this occasion, President Prabowo also announced the official theme for the 80th Independence Day Anniversary, namely “United and Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia.”

According to President Prabowo, the theme was chosen to reflect the direction of Indonesia’s struggle today and in the future.

“We always aspire to be a united nation of ‘Bhinneka Tunggal Ika’ (unity in diversity). This is our drive, our longing, the aspiration of our ancestors to build unity and togetherness as a force to uphold the sovereignty and prosperity of the Indonesian people,” the President stated.

President Prabowo also officially unveiled the logo for the 80th Independence Anniversary. The design features the number 80, interconnected to form an infinity symbol, carrying profound philosophical meaning.

“Philosophically, the design features the numbers 8 and 0, seamlessly connected without end. This form symbolizes that unity, as the foundation of sovereignty, is a manifestation of the people’s prosperity and the endeavor to achieve the nation’s dreams of an Advanced Indonesia,” the President remarked.
