President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (05/21) officially opened the 49th Annual Convention and Exhibition of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA Convex) 2025 held at Nusantara Hall, ICE BSD, Tangerang, West Java.
The event, themed “Delivering Growth with Energy Resilience in a Lower Carbon Environment”, serves as a strategic forum to drive the transformation of Indonesia’s energy sector towards resilience and sustainability.
The opening ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by a report from IPA President Carole J. Gall.
In her remarks, the IPA President expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s attendance, which she deemed a sign of the Government’s strong commitment to supporting national energy security.
“Your presence today to open this important event reflects the Government’s strong commitment to advancing national energy security. It also sends a strong message on the importance of collaboration in shaping Indonesia’s energy future,” she said.
In his remarks, President Prabowo Subianto also expressed gratitude and appreciation for the organization of the largest oil and gas forum in Southeast Asia. Forums such as the IPA Convex play a key role in encouraging cross-country cooperation and promoting energy transformation in Indonesia, he said.
“Thank you. It is an immense honor to be able to attend and speak at this important forum,” the President said.
The Head of State also praised IPA for consistently organizing the annual forum involving more than 60 participating countries.
“This event shows that Indonesia’s energy sector remains dynamic and attractive to the world,” he said.
This convention is expected to become a collaborative forum that facilitates constructive dialogue between the Government, industry, and the public in realizing reliable, sustainable, and low-carbon energy for an advanced Indonesia.
Also attending the event were several ambassadors of friendly countries, Red and White cabinet ministers, IPA President Carole J. Gall, and domestic and international oil and gas company leaders. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/EP)
