President Prabowo Subianto Monday (02/10) visited SDN Kedung Jaya 1 Bogor – an elementary school in the city of Bogor, West Java Province, to personally inspect the implementation of the signature Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).
The program, initiated to improve Indonesian children’s health and educational quality, is one of the Government’s top priorities.
The Head of State was warmly welcomed by hundreds of students waving and greeting him with bright smiles. In response, President Prabowo returned their greetings and shook hands with the enthusiastic children eager to meet him.
Following the warm welcome, the President proceeded to the school corridor to personally observe the nutritious meals being prepared and to ensure that every child receives the best possible nutrition for their growth. He then entered several classrooms to oversee the distribution of meals to the students.
Beyond inspecting the MBG program, President Prabowo Subianto also observed the ongoing teaching and learning process, while interacting with the students, engaging them in conversation, asking questions, and even offering motivation on the importance of studying diligently.
The MBG program is not merely about providing free meals at school; in fact it is also part of the Government’s broader strategy to enhance the overall quality of education and health for Indonesian children.
To that end, the Government remains committed to expanding the program to reach more children across the country.
The enthusiasm of the students, teachers, and the local community in welcoming the President reflects their high hopes for the program.
This initiative also carries the aspiration that all Indonesian children will have equal opportunities to grow, learn, and achieve their full potential. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/ABD) (AS/EP)
