President Prabowo Subianto Friday (12/12) visited the evacuation post at the Al-Abrar Grand Mosque in Central Aceh regency.

“On behalf of the people of Central Aceh, we thank you for coming to our beloved Gayo land, Sir,” one of the displaced resident Raodah said.

Before the President, Raodah highlighted the urgent needs of the displaced residents.

“We are in dire need of logistics. We lack clean water, electricity, and telecommunications. There is no mobile signal here,” she said, hoping the Head of State will speed up the recovery of flood-affected areas.

In response, the President expressed appreciation for the dedication of the volunteers working amid the crisis and assured the public that recovery efforts were underway, with a focus on swift and comprehensive action.

The President also outlined the Government’s efforts to provide temporary and permanent housing, while acknowledging that the process would take time.

“Please be patient. We can’t do everything quickly, but we are working as best we can. We will help, so don’t worry,” he remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (GWH/EP)
